Our colleague and DAE alumni Alexander Delagrange made a useful max script that he named "Bend of Brothers". It is a quick and easy tool to generate instances and apply bending parameters to it.

XOLIULSHADER 2.0 by LAURENS CORIJN
Laurens Corijn first made the XoliulShader 1.0 as a school assignment, later he and Robbert-Jan Brems streamlined it to release a second version. The XoliulShader is a real-time viewport shader for 3ds Max and Maya.
Although the shader is not supported anymore since 3dsMax 2013 this was truly a revolutionary shader that layed the foundation for Substance3D where Laurens is currently part of team.
GRAB VIEWPORT by LESLIE VAN DEN BROECK
Besides being an amazing sculpt artist, Leslie can also do some scripting. Grabviewport is a MaxScript that enables you to take High Resolution Screenshots of your 3ds Max Viewport. It also offers you the options to capture animations as well as multiple passes that can later be used for compositing your final presentation image. Get it here.

POLYGON ART by LIES DECOUTERE
This maxscript gives 3D models a low polygon art look. You can set the number of materialID's that will be applied randomly, choose whether to remove the smoothing groups and you can set the minimum and maximum each vertice can be translated to give it a more organic feel. Get it here.

CUSTOM RIGGER by NERO DEMAERSCHALK
Nero - Neroh- Demaerschalk made this custom rigger max script. It works by placing control points on your own 3D model, once these are set you just press the button for the part you want and the rig is generated.
