While Platform Development 1 teaches you the basics of programming and Platform Development 2 introduces you into the world of game engines, Platform Development 3 brings both together and teaches you a number of best practices on how to structure a game and apply design patterns in such a way that your game can grow.

 

When it comes to the Unity3D engine part, this course focusses on best practices regarding animation, pathfinding and interaction. Next to that, several important design patterns such as State Machine, Singleton, Object Pool, Command Pattern and some more get some attention. And finally we also spend some time on writing good code in a good structure by focussing on principles as SOLID, YAGNI, KISS and so on.
